The original kitchen had “golden oak” cabinetry and ceramic tile counter tops with grout lines that were very susceptive to germs and bacteria.
The owners’ wanted a kitchen for entertaining, cooking for family and friends, and a place for “Jr.” to enjoy a snack while completing his homework.
In order to make the kitchen larger, a seldom used bathroom was removed. We designed, constructed, and installed custom solid maple cabinetry that was painted using Sherwin Williams ProClassic “Dover White”. The cabinets showcased lots of “dove-tailed” drawers, full extension “soft-close” drawer slides, and euro style “soft-close” hidden hinges.
Functionality and style was in mind when we constructed a “Jeka” stained custom cherry wood “L-shaped” island that was home to an oversized hammered copper farmers sink with an oil rubbed bronze gooseneck faucet, a matching hot water dispenser, and a flush-mount button for the new InSinkErator.
Complimenting the “raised panel” cabinetry, matching range hood, and clear framed glass doors, a slate tile backsplash was installed in a brick pattern with a matching tile “spice alcove”.
A solar tube and recessed canister lighting was strategically placed along with under-cabinet and in-cabinet lights. Three pendant lights were installed to showcase the maintenance free granite (15yr sealer) and the rustic hickory tongue and groove flooring.
